The Twisp Airport Courtesy Car
The airport courtesy car is back in service for the summer.  The town of Twisp no longer wanted to "own" and support the car so it now belongs to the Twisp Airport Improvement Club.  This means that we also have to insure it and pay all the expenses.  So....if you use the car and it was beneficial to you, please consider leaving a donation in the lock box to help keep the car in operation.  Thank you!

Thanks to all, for your generous support!

The "Gold Star Club" is active again.  A solicitation was made to the Twisp Airport tenants for donations to the Twisp Airport Improvement Club.  As usual a number of people were generous and made donations to improve our current financial condition.

Donations were made by the following aviators: Clifford Hulk, Glen Wooldridge, James Richards, Joe Johnson, Mary Mattison, Morgan Smith, Sandy Beebe, John O'Keefe, Don Owens, Mike Port, Dave Sandoz, Mike Palm, Bob Howson, Mike and Dee Real, and Debbie Bair.

A $200 donation was "suggested" and some generous people doubled the amount.  We received donations from $25-$750 for a total of $3675 to date.  This will allow us to complete some of the projects that are pending.  The new north side paving and the new building are both paid for, and we have funds to relocate and upgrade our irrigation pump system.

Good progress has been made on my RV-7 lately.  Everything has been painted and moved down to the hangar.  I ended up having Kevin of Kevin's Collision Repair paint the fuselage.  Beautiful!  Mike Port of Port's Towing was kind enough to move the fuselage to the paint shop and then on to my hangar at the Twisp Airport.

On the way to Kevin's paint booth Just finished painting - Beautiful! On the way to the hangar via Ports Towing

A little known fact!  Bob Hoffman is one of our local flight instructors.  He owns a very nice Cessna 175 Skylark (modified) that he gives flight instruction, and biannual flight reviews in.  Now, this is the good part.  When Bob gives a BFR he charges the student for the airplane time, but does not charge the trainee for his instructor time.  It is expected, however, that the trainee will make a contribution to the Twisp Airport Improvement Club.  Thank you Bob!
